Good times.

Back from our staff conference and ready to get back to work! Met some great people there from across Canada and got to hear from some great speakers.
It was only four days long, but seemed to last twice that. In a good way. Truthmedia came away with two excellence in ministry awards, and I came away with six new books, and a lot of things to think over.
I had heard of Mark Driscoll and Mars Hill Church but I had never heard him talk before. I sure like his style, maybe a little more truth than grace, but he sure gets right to the point. At times he would criticize some of what we were doing as a ministry, and from the people I observed we were actually listening. And talking about it afterwards as advice we should really take. I came away impressed with who I am working for.
I mean, the top six people in the ministry, including the president, performed a boyband-esque dance to a pop song! What other half a century old ministry would do that?
But seriously, there are many changes going on right now with Campus Crusade, and we seem to be moving in the right direction. More of a focus on people outside our organization other than ourselves, an attitude of serving others instead of using them for our own goals, and even a name change you will hear more about in September.
As for me, definitely pumped to do ministry, especially for when I can get back onto a campus.
