Um, happy new years? 5 days late, but here nonetheless :) I think I now need another vacation, to recover from the first.
Had a great time, helping out at wintercon was amazing. My favourite parts were when it was the busiest, and I had to figure out how to do some ‘impossible’ things to keep the conference running smoothly. Then all the meetings with friends for coffee, or helping break computers, and going to movies, and all the talks were great.
Although I had a great time, I did not get much time to rest, and still did not get to see as many people as I would have liked. But I did take today off work and stayed home sick. It’s not so bad, though a little boring, I want to do things, but do not have the energy.
I picked up Ginger from the kennels just after I got in the other day, and she was so excited she had a seizure :( Not a bad out of control one, but she lost strength and slowly arched her head back, then cried out with a few long yells, she was so confused and was calling for help :( All I could do though was comfort her and make sure I didn’t panic her any further, and she slowly came back out of it. She became all happy again, and I went home and washed the pee out of my jacket and pants :) (not mine, hers)
I am guessing that her heart condition led into the episode, could a loss of blood to the brain trigger a seizure in a dog? Sarah, is that possible, or am I ‘barking’ up the wrong tree? Because it had happened once before when she was running around just after being woken up.
Anyways, back to being sick. I guess I’ll go read a few books, or sleep…
